Data Collection & Privacy

What data we collect on monkeycode and how it is used for our BSc. thesis research.

We collect personal data solely for academic research in connection with our BSc. thesis. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you provide by creating an account or logging in to monkeycode.dk.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

What Data We Collect

Logged-in users

Platform usage data:

  • Email address used to log in
  • Navigation patterns on the website (pages visited, clicks)
  • Time taken to complete each problem
  • Survey responses (if you choose to participate)

Survey responses are linked to your Email address of your account, and is used for research analysis and will be anonymised along with all other data.

All of the above is used in our BSc. thesis research.

Non-logged-in visitors

No personal data is collected from non-logged-in visitors.

How We Collect It

Usage data and survey responses are collected through our own service.

Data minimisation: We only collect the minimum data necessary for our research. No tracking is used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond this thesis.

Data Storage & Retention

  • All data is stored within the EU/EEA.
  • All collected data will be permanently deleted once the BSc. project is complete and graded.
  • Any data used in the published thesis will be fully anonymised beforehand, making it impossible to identify individual users.
